The leafless trees have added the beauty.

Sky on Fire

Lawrence sky is very beautiful of most of the days, but some days are always a bit special. Today was one such day with early morning sky was looking like it was on fire.
This was little before the sunrise.
The moon was still in the sky.
The street lights were still on.
The airplane streams left behind have really added to the beauty of scene.
It pays to wake up early :)

Early morning at Baker Wetlands

As I entered Baker Wetlands, the morning was misty. It was about 7.50am.

The sun started peeping out of clouds. And this water drop started glowing.

Rising Sun's reflection in wetlands water.

Some dramatic lighting effects on the grass ...

and behind bushes.

The grass was still filled with misty drops, showing off.

Sunrise at 31st Street

I was walking on 31st Street from Iowa to Louisiana cross for the MonarchWatch tagging. At around 7.25am sun was just rising.

And a close up of the sun.
